Antonio Silva
Antonio understands that to be a good leader, you need to capacitate your team with people who are smarter than you, hold knowledge in areas you don’t and who complement your skills. It is with this vision that Antonio founded PPT Group.
More Info
During his career Antonio has faced some fairly complex people challenges. It was through these experiences that Antonio learnt to skillfully navigate and advise on:
Growing people as a company scales; capacitating teams at the senior level with highly specialist skills; and right-sizing teams through economic cycles in the most human way possible.
Having started his career at HP and implementing solutions in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria and extensively in South Africa, he then moved on to Entelect where, as a Director, he employed and worked closely with postgraduate students to solve complex problems (and write custom software).
In 2007, Antonio became the IT Executive at Nando’s. He helped to steer this large organisation at the most senior level. This experience also taught him the importance of not compromising on doing what is right due to business pressure. He then joined Taste Holdings in 2011 as CIO and during his time there the business transformed from a medium-size pizza business into a multi-brand business. Antonio led Taste through four acquisitions and the due diligence and licensing process of Domino’s Pizza and Starbucks for southern Africa.
Antonio has learnt a lot during his career. This includes acquiring and working with very immature businesses as well as dealing with Fortune 500 companies. Antonio’s superpower is his ability to combine cutting edge thinking about technology with pragmatic solutions.
Antonio lives in Scarborough where he enjoys surfing and hiking in between being an Executive Director and shareholder of PPT Group.
